Even if Nigel Hitchcock’s name isn’t familiar to you I can guarantee you have heard his playing. He is one of the busiest and most successful session saxophonists from the UK who has recorded with a huge list of artists. Check out our interview with him here.

The solo transcription below is from the last track called “Heaven Knows Best”. This track has a great solo section with some burning lines for alto sax.
The pattern over bars 11 and 12 is a simple major 7th arpeggio but sounds great in context and at speed. Take your time with this one and get it really accurate before speeding it up.
