NIGEL HITCHCOCK: My Classic Album
Not just from the point of view of saxophone playing, but music in general, harmony, everything – this album changed my life and also led me then to go on to become a composer.
Klaus Ogerman became the other hand of Michael Brecker on this album. Those two guys together – I wanted all of that! I wanted to play like that, and write like that. And if I want inspiration, this album is where I go.
