Song #1: Careless Whisper
Is this the most famous pop sax riff of all time?
Free Careless Whisper PDF inside Locker
Written by George Michael and Andrew Ridgeley of Wham!, Careless Whisper was recorded by George Michael and released in July 1984. It reached number 1 in 25 countries. The sax solo was performed by Steve Gregory.
Song #2: Baker Street

Another hot contender for the best known sax riff! Baker Street was a hit for Gerry Rafferty in 1977 -1978. Raphael Ravenscroft played that iconic sax line.
Song #3: Baby Shark
This has to get to vote for the most annoying song of the decade! In 2016, south Korean entertainment company Pink Fong released this children’s song on YouTube. By November 2020 it had become the most viewed video of all time with over 7 billion views.
Song #4: The Friends TV Theme
This hit US TV sitcom ran from 1994 to 2004 with ten seasons. The theme song “I’ll be there for you” by the Rembrandts, was partly written by the show’s musical director and lyricist. If you and your friends grew up in the nineties, you’ll know this song (and your kids are probably watching the re-runs on Netflix!)
Song #5: Dance Monkey
This was a massive hit for Australian singer Tones and I. Released in 2019, it hit 2.5 billion streams on Spotify in December 2020.
Song #6: The Simpsons Theme
Is Lisa Simpson the coolest bari saxophone player ever?
This iconic American animation series started in 1989 and it’s still running!
Danny Elfman composed this theme in 1989. How do you like this multisax version?
