It doesn’t matter what style of playing you are into, being able to play things instantly by ear is a really important skill for saxophone players.
It is essential for any form of improvising, but being able to play by ear means you can also learn tunes much faster on your sax.
So, how do you do it?
To answer that question, I made a Mini-Course for Sax School called Ear Training 101. And I want to share one of the lessons from that course here.
In the lesson below you’ll get some great tips and tactics for starting to develop your ear skills on saxophone.
The full Mini-Course includes a bunch of exercises and practical tips and techniques you can use straight away. You can get access to the full course including downloads with a Free 30 day trial to Sax School.
