Ahead of his hotly anticipated new album, Grammy award-winner TIM GARLAND is about to head out on a UK tour.
Having played in Chick Corea’s bands for over 16 years now, British saxophonist Garland has been described as a genius.
The new album, “One” (Edition Records Spring 2016), marks a move to an electric quartet, and it is these musicians who bring a funkier, rockier edge to this release.
The group is made up of JASON REBELLO on piano, ANT LAW on 6, 8 and 12 string guitars, and ASAF SIRKIS on drums.
The album promises to be a tight and funky, fusion-jazz-rock release with scope for some epic instrumental passages due to the sheer skill level of the musicians involved with the group.
Garland deserves to be ranked with the great players, and his influences, ranging from funk and fusion to rock to jazz gives him a range of styles and creates a vibrant sound.
TIM GARLAND’s Spring tour kicks off at Brighton’s Dome Theatre on 16th March.
